Yeah, for that.
Add it to the pan later.
Don’t start with the garlic like all the recipes say.
It’s stupid.

Add everything to the pan in accordance with it’s cooking time.

I have this garlic press, and I only reach for it when I can’t find the other two that I prefer… one being the Ikea one that @teknocholer showed above, and the other is the Kuhn Rikon one that Cook’s Illustrated determined was the best on the market, when they determined that the previous winner’s (the Zyliss) surface tended to flake off over time. The downside of the Kuhl Rikon is that its price is almost twice that of almost all the other ones.

FWIW, I just posted that because I love Goodfellas…
I use a knife, generally, though I do have a lever press that works fine as well.
I’d buy this thing just to have it, though, because I’m weird like that.
My gadget drawer overflows.
