I’m annoyed he didn’t pick Susan Rice.
But that choice would anger the leftist crowd just as much.
(On further reflection though, Harris was the much better choice between the two. RIce just has no electoral/campaign experience at all. Much safer to go with Harris. And get Rice into SecState after the win.)

Really, that can be for during the election, as well. You just have to ask yourself: “Is Trump or Biden/Harris closer to my beliefs on this?” …because, TBH, I can’t think of anything I’m likely to be closer to with Trump’s beliefs than Biden’s.

Arguing that candidates that racists or misogynists won’t vote for shouldn’t be nominated, actively increases the power of said bigots, effectively giving them veto power.
This is not an amoral issue. Just because there are some people that would rather vote for a white, male version of Kamala is not a good reason to pick a white, male candidate; it is exactly why we need to not pick white male candidates

Well, he chose, and it’s not a real surprise. Still a better pick than Clinton’s decision to go with unknown milquetoast. Hope to see more progressives pulled into a Biden cabinet, and we’ll have to keep the pressure on through protests to ensure he doesn’t fully backside to center right policies.

I’m reserving judgement at this point. If the goal is to please only your own base, I would agree. But if you are going after the fence riders, who may already have strong negative feelings about the other Left Coast San Francisco elite running the Dems, then you are once again setting yourself up to feel the wrath of flyover country. Ask the last Democratic candidate how that worked out.

I mean, after all, some people suggest they’re the reason this animal, who is destroying the constitution and democracy in America with it, won in 2016. Ever heard of “perfect is the enemy of good”?
