If I have to work from home and do everything by videoconference, I don’t see why he has to meet them in person.

Because they need the personal touch to explain why Democrats need to abandon any plans for meaningful student debt relief or public option health care or the Green New Deal. It’s important we get the ball rolling on preemptive compromise as soon as possible.
(sorry for being an onion in the ointment, I’d just really like to see someone other than these two chuckleheads leading Dems in Congress)
