“…now keep imagining, because such a window does not actually exist.”

Yeah turns out that’s not quite true.

Maybe that’s what he thinks modern TVs are? Dude is old and clearly out of touch with reality.

He’s a billionaire. Don’t give him excuses. Billionaires are all psychopaths detatched from humanity.

He just has no internal concept of any other person being a real human being like he believes only himself to be. Everyone else is just a tool or a toy in his mind.

He’s 97, a narcissist who will never feel any consequences for anyone he hurts.

We should grind these billionaires up for fish food. That’s all they’re good for.

And ongoing funding will provided by targeted advertising. If you want to turn off the video, you’ll have to spend … oh I dunno, let’s call them “merits.”

Isn’t Black Mirror supposed to be a warning instead of an instruction manual?

CNN What makes you say that he’s an ignorant man?

Munger Because he’s wrong. He hasn’t thought about it very much. And he’s just plain wrong.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s the architect who quit that’s the ignorant one here, Bucko.

Reminds me of an obscure comic book.

An artificial window isn’t a display. It’s a light panel.

No you don’t get a simulated view. You get yellow light.

Never let the rich design buildings, plan restaurant menus, or anything else that isn’t related to money. Let them play with their little spreadsheets and leave the rest of the human race alone.

Oh I agree he is a narcissistic asshole of thr worst kind.
I couldn’t imagine having spent dorm life without a window and would never send my children to live in something like that.

“cheerful” or “romantic”

But not both?

Sounds like Mr Billionaire needs to invest in the development of some new technology.

Michigan grad here ('02). I can only imagine that people are fighting to get into the dorm… because housing in Ann Arbor is insanely expensive. I paid $500 a month for basement room with a shared bathroom upstairs that I shared with seven other guys, and that was 20 years ago. I can only imagine what time and a housing crisis have done to rents. Any dorms will be popular. That doesn’t mean they are well-liked.

Imagine having a window that you can’t tell is artificial by looking at it.

If you can’t tell the difference between a real window and a fake window, it can (and will) be hacked to play porn.

“My, there sure do seem to be a lot of people fucking in the quad today.”

So let me get this straight. The architect that quit is ignorant, because he is wrong. And he’s wrong because he doesn’t support that design. So anyone that doesn’t support the design is ignorant and wrong. That’s some real quality logic, there.

Doubling down on a mistake you’ve made in a field you know very little about? Sounds exactly like what I’d imagine a 97-year-old white male billionaire would do.

Tax the rich.
