Black art student with glue gun mistakenly thought to be dangerous, caused 4-hour lockdown at university

No, but I kinda wish I had. That would have been a less depressing story.

You forgot, “Liberal Values”

This coincides nicely with the release of, “Dear White People”.

Maybe we’ll see it crop up in season 2.

Yup. It dropped this past Friday on Netflix. Pretty funny.

Glitter. It changes the glue gun from “minor risk” to “highly dangerous”.

They don’t have to be flammable to be dangerous; we used to use lots of potentially poisonous things in ceramics, painting, and jewelrysmithing. Helpful hint: be careful about licking your paintbrush to put a fine tip on it, and don’t snort the fumes, man!

Colgate U is racist, ever notice how all their products are for “whitening”.
Crest Liberal Arts College is much more tolerant.

haha, needed the glue gun for witch crafts…

We have yet more evidence we have become a nation of hysterical ninnies.

We run around screaming at the tiniest rumor without a shred of evidence that any given threat is real.

If Pearl Harbor happened these days, the country would probably just keel over from a mass heart attack as everyone ran into walls or off cliffs like a bad Road Runner movie…

Or one could arrive…and just stay:

You left off “Quick, let’s dig through the student’s history and see if they have ever broken a law in the past!”

Doh!

You’re right. White denial is so mutifaceted, it can be hard to keep up!

Reminds me of where I went to college. There was a lockdown because someone was carrying a tripod under their arm, and someone called in panicked reports of a person carrying a big gun.

Admittedly, in that case, the “gunman” in question was white.

But within a few days, there were students walking around wearing T-shirts that said “I survived the [School Name] lockdown” with a picture of a tripod.

And yet another one:

“Let’s misdirect the heat on this and see if a black person first reported this situation.”

Tell that to the Cavity Creeps.

The White De’Nile has many tributaries and distributaries. It’s a confusing flow that seems to defy logic.
