The LOC just announced a new Web Cultures Archive (as well as a new Web Comics Archive) of “a representative sampling of the collective cultural creation and self-documentation characterizing vernacular spaces on the World Wide Web.” So obviously BB is in there, though the BBS isn’t yet.
