Congratulations!
Also: oh, my aching back!
I’ve been following BB since September… 12? 2001. I was looking for Bruce Sterling’s take on what had just happened (given his recent writings about Afghanistan), and while I didn’t find what I was looking for, he had posted a link to BoingBoing. Ooooohhh…
So, it’s all Bin Laden’s fault I’m here.
How many links from 14 years ago are still valid? http://www.streettech.com/ is still going strong! Where “strong” is defined as “still being served up, despite not having been updated since 2010.” Still, all things considered…
UPDATE: StreetTech was Gareth Branwyn who is actively tweeting if not updating his website.
Happy birthday! The interwebz are getting old enough to have acne and peach fuzz.
Happy Birthday, to an Unusual Gang of Idiots!
happy cake day, boing boing! i can’t remember when i started reading you, but i know that there was the Happy Mutant Handbook involved.
Congratulations, and best wishes for many more years of wonderful things.
Hmm, according to the Internet Archive, the post 14 years ago ( http://web.archive.org/web/20000229030858/http://boingboing.net/ ) was this:

Street Tech Reviews and news for gadget-lovers and propeller heads of all stripes.
EDIT: Here’s a link to the site today: http://www.streettech.com/
Yeah! Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday BoingBoing! I’m happy to addedyou to my feed a mere 24 hours before this prestigious occasion. I’ve been mainlining Cory Doctorow novels for a week now, and I’ve concluded that anywhere that he wishes to voice his opinions is likely a place I’d like to be.
Birthdays are so overrated. Rabble rabble, pitchforks, buses, and accurate opinions.
(Congrats and thanks for the experiences!)
NTK may no longer be with us, but blame them for listing BB as “the usual suspects” and thus piquing my interest.
Intelligent and articulate. Boing Boing has led me to a great many topics and sites of interest that I would not have discovered otherwise. Thank you especially for continuing to promote human rights, civil liberties, and issues of social justice.
Happy Happy Happy Happy Talk…
Does this make you an annoying teenager?
Congratulations! BB has still a lot of years ahead to look at that banana!
I cant remember how long I have being reading Boingboing, it has being one of my home pages so long I cant remember… between 8 and 12 years, maybe.
Congratulations on surviving your first teenaged year. Six more to go!
Here’s to 14 years of pedantic well intentioned trolling!
Hrm. That link looks familiar… To bad they’re no longer updating.
NB: BoingBoing digitial did predate the BoingBoing blog but… wasn’t the blog. Which is 14 years and a day.
