Looking at that I don’t think it’s a very effective trap. The idea is sound but the execution (heh) isn’t. That looks flimsy as hell. You need some force behind the blade, this uses gravity working on a knife and some plastic tubing. Not even a counterweight.

I’m skeptical about the triggering mechanism depicted therein. It seems quite as likely that Rupert was told to cut the string above when he heard random stick fumblings below. (yet it should be stated that i’m by nature a creature of abundant doubts)

Why would anyone ever enter a meth house without wearing full chemical PPE? From everything I’ve ever read those are full on toxic waste sites and unprotected exposure for even a short period of time can be bad news.
