So I was trying to riff on an old joke we make here in Argentina, based on sequential news reports that loosely go like this:
“The municipality of San Martin announced today that local police seized 14 kilos of cocaine in a raid today …”
“The Provincial Police today have transported the 12 kilos of cocaine seized in San Martin earlier this week to their secure facility…”
“The gendarmerie held a press conference today to announce a new victory in the war against drugs, after destroying the 10.5 kilos of cocaine discovered in San Martin earlier this month.”
