His 1981 album with David Byrne, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, is one of my favorite albums, period. I also enjoy a lot of Eno’s early rock-ish albums. I’m sure they’ll put on a great show, but I don’t know if it’s for me; I’m not sure that I want to ruin the illusion he’s cast in my mind.
Pretty sure it would be for me if it got any closer to where I live
I like Eno and all but this is ageist douchebag bulllshit I’ve been hearing and dealing with my whole life. I mean, how old is Eno? I get it, you want to work with musicians you want to work with, who play a certain way, but what he said is crap.
And I don’t know what they’re financial arrangement is but there’s a long tradition going back to the fall of the Iron Curtain of using Eastern European orchestras to undercut local union scale wages on tours like this. I hope they are being properly compensated.
would be nice if at least played ONE date on each coast in the U.S., sigh.
