Many thanks for providing links to the archival keynotes as well as this year’s rant necessary and thoughtful foray into the event horizon so many of us now find ourselves is–or will soon.

Even today in 2018, I am still recovering from Bruce’s reading “The People, Yes”.

During his “State of the World” keynote talk at the South by Southwest Interactive Conference in Austin, Texas, On March 14, 2006, author Bruce Sterling finished by reading the Carl Sandburg poem “The people, yes.”

Bruce’s best-guess forecast (and surely, weather does change) is usually hard news for me to take, but as with bitter medicine, something I appreciate for whatever good it does me having consumed it.
