Coming back to one of my pet peeves (despite being told here before that I’m wrong).

Headline is incorrect.

Either: Burglar left behind notebook with list of homes to burgle
Or: Burglarizer left behind notebook with list of homes to burglarize

Either way, he sure got bustered by a peace-keeping busterizer!

I have a nephew (by marriage!) that got busted for breaking and entering, etc. when he left his gloves in the neighbor’s house. The gloves had is last name on them. He should have teamed up with this guy.

By proper back-formation, would one who burglarizes be a burglarist, and one who burgles a burgler?
