I’m sure it’ll be a rockin’ party, but after 50 years WAR is basically a Ship of Theseus conundrum-- I think there’s only one original member left now.

When the local “rainbow records” went out of business, they had a deal where you could buy whatever records remained for like $0.25 ea, or like 6 for a dollar. I found a box of WAR “Lowrider” singles, and promptly bought the whole thing (like 50 copies). For years, anyone who I liked/was a friend got a copy delivered to them in mysterious ways (hidden in room during visit, left on doorstep late at night, hand delivered by third party unknown to friend, left in refrigerator at their house, put in locked car late at night etc…)
probably the most fun I’ve had for less than $10.
