From what I understand of it, he is not a true example of Heterochromia. In his youth, he was injured in a fight which caused one of his pupils to be permanently dilated. (You can easily see this in the photo above.) This creates the illusion that his irises are different colors.

Hm, could be. AFAIK, heterochromia is the symptom, not the cause, so if they’re different it counts.
Yeah, but I think they have to be genuinely different. The difference in pupil size creates the illusion of difference of iris color rather than genuine difference.
