Shit, three years of nights doing anything will make you so cynical and world-weary Philip Marlowe would be shocked. Three years of crime beat is just… wow.
No doubt. I worked as a private investigator for about eight years and spending many late nights watching people cheat on their spouses certainly wore me out. It paled in comparison to the crime beat though.
