When Sheena Easton’s songs became popular in the U.S., she made appearances on late night talk shows. I almost fell out of my chair when I first heard her speak with a strong Scottish accent.

I stumbled over reading this child’s diagnosis. IANAD, so it seemed weird to me that the definition describes a person who is unable to speak. This is the second time this week I’ve seen an article about a child who had that diagnosis who does speak - just rarely. Something about a term that conveys “can’t” strikes me as too pessimistic.

I was impressed by the nonchalant way he rode and dismounted his horse in the video; now it is even more impressive. I’ve only been on a horse once, and I was scared to death and couldn’t wait to get off.
