EXAMINE ROOM
Nothing special. Concrete floor. Unplastered brick walls. About 3 x 4 m. You can reach the ceiling when you stand on your toes; it seems to be concrete as well. There is a fixture for a strip light, but the tubes are gone. The door seems to be a metal fire door with the handle removed. A little bit of light seeps into the room through the gap under the door, the hole where the handle should be, and four little ventilation grilles in one of the walls.
About one third of the room is taken up by a heap of cardboard boxes that look like the remnants of an online shopping spree.
EXAMINE GRILLES
Metal squares, about 15 x 15 cm. Two of them are near the top of the wall, two are near the bottom of the wall, near the left and right corners.
SEARCH CARDBOARD
Most of them are empty or just contain packing material like bubble sheet.
Sifting through the heap of cardboard, you find two unopened packages.
The smaller one contains a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, still in itâs original, shrinkwrapped box.
The larger one is from the Boing Boing Store and contains a Shower Speaker, a tea infuser that looks like a little sloth, The Worldâs Strongest bottle opener, two Ultralight Military Flashlights, a Fader Stealth Quadcopter, a Wallet-sized Multitool, a little plastic toy crossbow with five darts (with sucker cup tips), and one Universal Waterproof Solar Charger.
You walk down the private street towards itâs entrance/exit.
A UPS truck wooshes past you like a racing car.
You turn around to look whether the UPS truck is being chased or whatever.
The street is empty, but your peripherical vision picks up something moving in front of one of the houses downd the street. You turn further. Youâre not quite sure because of the distance, but it might just look like two men in black tracksuits dragging a body into the house.
