Every conspiracy theory? So, if I theorize about the doings of the current PO(TU)S, which surely involve conspiracies, I’m on the road to antisemitism?
There’s a difference between conspiracy theories (which try to explain the world via some massive conspiracy), and speculating about actual conspiracies.
Projection much?
Extra extra hard, because he’s an immigrant from Ukraine.
I don’t think there’s any conspiracy theory which hasn’t appeared in an antisemitic version. Whether it’s the Masons, the Illuminati, or reptoid aliens from the Fourth Dimension that are supposed to be pulling the strings, ultimately someone will claim they’re really just a front for the Jews.
For all the wharrr-garble about how Evangelicals lurv them some Hebrews because Israel the truth is a lot nastier. Jew-hatred has been part of Christianity in general and Fundamentalist Protestantism in particular from the very beginning and has never really gone away. Oh, it was socially unacceptable to talk about the Evil International Christ-killing Jew from about 1945-2015 in public, but the largest denomination in the US has been saying “God Almighty does not hear the prayer of a Jew” during most of that time.
And that love of Zionism and Israel? They’re very specific about what that means. Israel needs to exist so Jews can be shipped off there to be killed in a war with Arabs so that Dead Jew Onna Stick will be allowed to return in the nick of time and end the world. And that’s pretty much as good as it gets for Jews from Fundies and Evangies.
That is some quality Christian-rant insanity right there.
If you run all those Bigfoot photos through image enhancement software you can just make out the yarmulke.
Racist say wah?
I wonder who that could be? /s
And then apply Rule 34.
I would say race or ethnicity instead of religion, because the antisemites don’t care if you haven’t had observant Jewish relatives for three or four generations, if you have Jewish blood you’re still Jewish.
His view doesn’t make sense. Jesus said he was a fulfillment of the Jewish prophets. & I say that as a Methodist raised German Texan.
Someone should ask him if he has any kind of “solution” that would “finally” settle the whole “Jewish question.”
I wonder if he would dance around it, or just come right out and say it.
Xians are not a sect. I mean I get the origin points and what messiah means and all.
But it hasn’t been a sect since the third century CE.
I call it the Cannibal Cult of the Blood Drinkers because that sounds so much more metal than St. Joseph’s Episcopalian Church
And every since then it’s been “We’re the real Jews with the New Covenant. You are Synagogues of Satan. Die, Christ-killer!”
i got a good book on audible about the history of early christianity. apparently there were lots of rumors about those weird christians who were obsessed with preserving dead bodies and drinking blood.
Since then it has been a religion, defined as a sect with an army.
