Christians defending Trump feels like the epitome of hypocrisy. He stands for none of their (purported) values. If Jesus was brought into Trump’s USA as a child, he would have been put in a cage and later given to a white family to raise and/or abuse. If he tried to come in as an adult, he would have been turned back at the border. Trump is not a Christian. He is abhorrent. No Christians should be honoring or defending that man.
I’m pretty sure he’s intentionally being derogatory, and even if he’s just an idiot that doesn’t know when to use “Jewish” vs “Jew” he’s still intending it as derogatory. He’s not looking to be respectful.
Technically, that’s more of a Catholic thing. Catholics believe in transsubstantiation, meaning they believe communion is the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ. Episcopalians/Anglicans believe communion is more symbolic AFAICT.
In the Catholic church they do sorta taste like dessert wafers but without the cloying amounts of sugar. In the protestant churches they’re more like chunks of bread. I think adding jesus forces the bread out.
Certain as I can be that the choice of verbiage came down to “Jew” rhymes with “coup.” Trying to be cute anti-Semitic asshole, which is just a nonstarter. Also the failure mode of clever, but that is where he started, so…
OK, I’m done making dismissive remarks about this deranged shithead.
Because, sure, any rando nutjob can make a semiprofessional looking “studio” set, post crap like this on the web, and get tons of attention for being so over the top.
HOWEVER, it was just brought to my attention that Rick Wiles’ operation, TruNews, has on multiple occasions been issued White House Press credentials by the Trump administration, and that, friends, is severely effed up.
Yeah, that’s the big problem here, the people pushing this are way too close to mainstream. We are never, never going to beat antisemitism, so it’s more like taking a measure of how much of it there is. Sort of like how they measure bacteria in public pools to see if they need to add more chlorine. But in this case we didn’t bother measuring for four years and the bacteria have grown tendrils up out of the pool and into the grocery store. Analogy!
His TruNews is operated by Flowing Streams Ministries, a charity.
No Form 990s. “02 - 990 - Required to file Form 990-N - Income less than $25,000 per year” I highly doubt his operation is making less than $25K/year. A church does have to file if it has non-church outside activities, like this. Theoretically the IRS should look into it, but practically? Oh hell no!
context: i reported it, they said it didn’t go against their standards. i requested a 2nd review. several days late i got that notice that they finally took it down.
when i reported it, it had been up 8 hours. took 4 more days (and maybe a bunch of reports and news articles) to get them to take it down. I’m not sure it will always work but definitely report this BS if you see it. I still think facebook sucks.
