Climate change denying senator throws snowball on Senate floor

Perhaps Senator Inhofe would be so kind as to personally demonstrate a snowball’s chances in hell.

Well, we have a notion, at least, during what time he was bought:
During a House committee hearing in 2011, Inhofe testified, “I have to admit—and, you know, confession is good for the soul
I, too, once thought that catastrophic global warming was caused by anthropogenic gases—because everyone said it was.” Under questioning from committee member Jay Inslee, Inhofe dismissed the notion that he was less knowledgeable than climate scientists, saying that he’d already given "five speeches on the science."
{emphasis added}
So he’s an unassailable expert because, you know, he’s given speeches on the topic!

I’d rather have Sesame St. in charge. Can we do that?

And his supporters have names like Chesapeake and Devon.

How can snowballs be real if Global warming is real?

Checkmate!

Sadly, that is the extent of his understanding.

Did the snowball melt?

Then by his own reasoning, there must be climate change.

Check and mate, Mr. Inhofe

Therefore, he’s more than qualified to host and be the keynote speaker at a world wide symposium about climate change.
Won’t happen, but would be a definite “grab the popcorn” moment.

Honestly, I wonder if anyone’s ever thought of inviting him one.

Granted, this isn’t really explaining the science, but at least there was a retort.

No, you’re wrong. I know exactly why he says it. I am just disappointed that a senator or two from the States that make a lot of their income from science and science based industries - such as Massachusetts - don’t get up and explain, carefully, why he is wrong.
I realise that this wouldn’t be reported in his home State or by the Murdoch media, but at least it might reduce cynicism about politicians a little - at least among the estimated >90% of scientists who vote Democrat.

The snowball throwing incident hasn’t made it to this site yet, but they’re taking him to task on his warmongering.
