Company that pampers rich people at Burning Man won't give up

Heathen…

Yeah, you can camp out on the edge of the main ring roads.

I just took a week off sitting in a cabin at a Tibetan Buddhist meditation center with my wife (last week!).

But you have to stay on a road?
I went the first year they had roads, so people were complaining, a lot.
And lots of people still had camps way far away from centre camp and the roads.
Thats what I’d like to do. Camp really really far away, watch the man burn from like 5km away from the crowd. :slightly_smiling:

Sitting in a cabin for a week sounds great! Did you actually meditate or just laze?

You have to be in a designated zone for camping. Theme camps and the like are assigned spots, often closer in or along roads. All other BRC spots are open. You generally can’t head a mile out into the deep playa and expect any support (and it might not be legal based on permits).

The plan was to meditate (we both have a practice) but we mostly read books and sat around.

I think we don’t even want to get into the history of the Northern Paiute and the Playa.

Oh boy does nobody really want to go there.
