If the US Marshals got involved, whatever he did, you can be sure it’s pretty bad. And given his history as an upstanding gentleman, it’s probably something even worse than what we’re all thinking.

Would US Marshalls be involved if it was something like exploitation of children? Or is this more likely related to the real estate fraud thing/whatever the hell homeland security raided his workplace for? He’s just on everybody’s radar now isn’t he?

On Reddit, I saw someone theorising that they found something related to child abuse during the raid for real estate fraud.
Theory went on that they waited to collect further evidence against all people involved.
How reliable the theory my guess is good as yours.

I would assume that it would have to be some kind of federal charge, and the kinds of things covered by federal law tend to involve things that cross state lines, so…

Usually they get involved if there are outstanding federal warrants. So yes, this is really really bad for them.
Feds don’t do the “overcharge and plead down” thing. They only cut deals if the person can be a useful informant for future prosecutions.

The Marshals are enforcement for the federal courts. So they tend to be enforcing federal warrants, court orders and subpoenas
Especially where doing so crosses state lines.
I know some people involved with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and law enforcement specializing in trafficking and child porn cases. If memory serves the US Marshals are often the arresting agency for big federal cases rolling out of Grand Juries.
They’d also be the ones to enforce something like a contempt ruling from the law suit but that would be public record.

If you’re expecting consistency, you won’t find it there, I’m afraid.
No, let me amend that a bit. They’re consistent on hating those of us who are not on board with their vision for America. They are entirely consistent on that point. But there is none in their arguments for why Democratic leaders are “bad”, other than that they are the REAL fascists. It really is a case of throwing any old bullshit at the wall to see what sticks with their base.

If it makes you feel better, I had to ask y’all about what it meant that the Marshalls were involved because my only knowledge of what they did came from that movie, and I am completely sober. (Also my dad used to watch that movie EVERY weekend so I’ve seen it so many times)
