Obviously not in London, but can testify. Even those of us not directly in the “death is all around us” level of involvement are getting hit in the mental health. It is a rough time to be in health care.

It’s been a crazy decade, but I don’t remember not being concerned about asymptomatic transmission.

But I definitely remember almost no-one seeming to get it.

At least they’re not using Ticketmaster. “One million shots went online and were snatched up by bots in less than two minutes, and are now sold by scalpers at 500% markup.”

Preliminary as all hell, as normal, but a promising possible anti-inflammatory treatment.

Nearly 4,500 people took part in a study that’s led to what the researchers are calling “a major scientific discovery.”

During the study, researchers found that colchicine reduced the chance of death or hospitalization by 21 per cent when compared to a placebo. That number went up when specifically looking at the pool of about 4,200 participants whose COVID-19 diagnoses were confirmed by a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

Within that group, researchers say colchicine reduced hospitalizations by 25 per cent and deaths by 44 per cent. They also found the drug helped cut the need for mechanical ventilation by 50 per cent.

Researchers are preparing to publish their findings in a scientific journal.

Not entirely benign, but mild side effects and old and well understood, as well as fairly cheap. If this pans out, it could be very good.

(Not sure why no oneboxxing, but the link seems to work.)

How could conservatives have ever predicted that dismantling the education guidelines for public schools would affect conservative constituents, and not just poors and POC? SMDH.
