I picked up two to try. At $4 each, theyâre a bit pricey but each will do for a few shopping trips. The fit is good, and a bit more work to breath until I get used to them.

I suspect that analysis is correct. âEssential workerâ has come to mean, âessentially, we donât really care if you die. Just keep doing your job until then!â Other than healthcare, the vast majority in this category are low wage sorts of jobs. Our society sucks. The high muckity-mucks in my workplace are still working remotely because âitâs too dangerous to work in our offices.â One of them said this in a zoom meeting with us, who of course never have had that option.

Might add the link to research corroborating this later if I find the time and the original source: according to Drosten, B.1.1.7 leads to approximately 10x viral loads, i.e. easier transmission is a matter of quantity (and, in fact, additional factors like a longer incubation period, and a longer infectious period; AFAIR however not an earlier onset of the infectious period. )

Finally got mine and my fatherâs J&J shot scheduled in for thursday afternoon. Two weeks after hopefully we might be in the clear. It was such a pain in the ass waiting for a J&J shot become available in our area because of our low platelet counts and penicillin allergy.
