This is mentioned in the article, but really needs to be emphasised: he is claiming that they are discriminating against him for claiming a religious exemption for doing something that his church has explicitly said he can do.

We generally refer to this as “cherry picking” your beliefs so that they seem to always reinforce your preexisting prejudices. Funny how that works out, isn’t it?

finally has proof that Catholicism is not a foreign plot to put the country in the thrall of the pope.

Yep. Every other vaccine before was just fine. But not this one. Though her proefessed catholicism and hating the pope anyway is longstanding. No logic to it (god chooses the pope but somehow couldn’t stop the appointment of this one) but long standing.
