We’re up to 3.5/100k cases in Ontario :canada: and the new case rate (7d avg) has doubled in less than a week. Our government continues to pretend nothing is happening… This morning’s Toronto Star had this as almost the entire the front page:

Know someone who is heading for Canada next week. School exchange program. Skipped it last year because of the pandemic. Now, they are ready to go. Thinking was: Canada did most things right. The risk should be low. Papers, flight, everything in place. Vaccinated, of course. Still, their family isa bit anxious, I gathered. Also, if the person can actually make contact to more than their host family… Well …
