Obviously it’s being approved as a ploy to lure people into getting vaccinated, not because it’s really safe.
(/s, of course)

I’ve been thinking about this exact thing a lot. What stuns me from my POV with it is that they think they do. Like they are so susceptible to suggestion that they literally can fool themselves into believing they aren’t just accepting the influence of others without question when they truly truly are and/or they imagine that other people can’t identify expertise vs bullshit any better than they can when just humble introspection could probably inform them of that.
The antivax movement has always been reactionary anti-science bullshit using ableism to project fears about having an “imperfect” child onto science for the purposes of self-glory and grift.
Anyone who actually can’t see that by now literally can not interpret scientific data at any level and, frankly, needs to find someone very very trustworthy who can explain it and then trust them. That’s ok, a lot of us can’t parse a lot of this stuff and that’s fine. But of course that means one is susceptible to influence from the information they trust. IMO though if you trust “mommy blogs” and some guy’s Q channel over the CDC at this point you are both an asshole and an idiot.
… I’m not sure what can be done though. What good is reasoning with the unreasonable?
Given current reality, I strongly suggest that you add a /s tag to that post.
You sound upset and a bit cynical about the Emergency Use Authorization and how it can push out treatments in desperate situations.
Here, have a nice fat scoop of horse paste. It should make you feel better.
And sneeze guards on the salad bar don’t do much good when people scoop up the bacon bits with their hands.
The reset from the idea of covid being spread by ballistic droplets to drifting aerosols still has to work its way down the chain.
Good idea.
Huh?
I’m pointing out, that in Florida, there are a lot of people that want a treatment not fully approved by the FDA while refusing the vaccine because it is not fully approved by the FDA.
There might not be a need for treatment centers set up on fairgrounds or libraries if people would get vaccinated and then maybe hospitals could get back to serving all of the sick in the community.
As far as experimental treatment, I will be the first in line for any treatment, experimental or not, if there is a chance it will save my life.
tl;dr I was pointing out the hypocrisy.
So was I but in a snarky & sarcastic way
I have no idea how to respond.
The whole eat a scoop of horse paste…
I was so confused until I realized they meant “ladle” not label…
Yeah, I pretty much decided at the beginning of this shit show when I started thinking about germs more that I am not eating at buffets or salad bars anymore.
I still haven’t even eaten any restaurant food since March of 2020. I know I’ll go back eventually, but I just don’t trust random people anymore to do the right thing.
I think it was a reference to the people taking veterinary medicines, even though they “distrust” the vaccine (the one for humans).
@mr_raccoon - fwiw, I got it.
Also a very good grift.
According to the data sent to the CPI, sales of the drug rose from 5.707.023 pills in 2019 to 75.272.293 in 2020, an increase of 1.229%. The average price of a box with 500 pills rose from R$ 73,87 to R$ 240,90 (226%).

There is a guy from where i work who is/was taking it twice a month (IIRC it is usually took once a year as an anti-parasite), and i wonder how many cases of liver problems we will see in the next years.
Okay, wait a minute, I think I get it now.
I usually don’t need subtitles but this one slipped past.
Meanwhile back at the ranch…
These people can’t be real, they have to be just messin’ with these school boards. No one can be this whackadoodle. She says a spoon will stick to your vaccination site on your arm and your veins will glow under black light.
The Mississippi Department of Health sent a letter out to to the MS Health Alert Network on Friday warning health professionals of the spike in poisonings from individuals digesting ivermectin.
“At least 70% of the recent calls have been related to ingestion of livestock or animal formulations of ivermectin purchased at livestock supply centers,” the letter stated.
