This, IMO, is the real danger of telling people the pandemic is over and everything should “get back to normal” - the unnecessary infections, long-term health problems, and deaths that happen as a result. Too many believe that means there is no longer any threat, and masking is something done out of paranoia rather than a precaution. I’ve encountered people who think being vaccinated is enough, when it’s not. Agreed .
