Continuing coronavirus happenings (Part 4)

Those who need to see this will not believe it, and the rest of us will yawn and move on, but at least they are trying.

Yā€™all are probably getting tired of my Missouri Attorney General updates, but this last one is too horrible to pass up.

The full headline (cut off in the thumbnail) reads: ā€œMissouri AG sues nine more school districts, including one for students with disabilitiesā€

Attorney General Eric Schmitt announced Monday he was suing nine more school districts over their mask mandates, including a school district in St. Louis County that serves students with disabilities.

The additional lawsuits bring the total filed in recent days to 45, as Schmitt continues his legal push to end mask mandates across the state.

The nine districts facing litigation Monday are primarily located throughout the St. Louis metro, and include[s]ā€¦ the Special School District of St. Louis County, which is the largest district in the state that serves students with special needs.

Chris Nuelle, a right bastard spokesman for Schmitt, said the nine districts were sued Monday because ā€œthere simply wasnā€™t enough time in the day on Friday to file all of these lawsuits.ā€

I currently have a person on Facebook desperately trying to convince me that because there are 1.3 million auto accident deaths every year worldwide that itā€™s the same thing as covid.

I shared the following story, she said car accidents cause the same thing you just donā€™t hear about it because itā€™s not political.

It never ends.

Absofuckinglutely. Both of these medications are highly cytotoxic and are being investigated for treatment of various acute leukemias. No thank you.

I wonder where they find a set of people never vaccinate willing to be part of a trial.

a third set of people who have never been vaccinated will get three doses of the omicron-specific shot.

Iā€™m in a very red part of Indiana, so my experience at Meijerā€™s is different than yours. So glad to hear theyā€™re doing at least somewhat better in Michigan.

I did not go with my wife this morning, she didnā€™t go in but she said most people going in or out had masks on. She said the few that didnā€™t were young parents with their kids. The young girl that brought out her order had a mask on.

If you go into our local small town for anything, no one wears a mask. Weā€™re working late at night or very in the morning to avoid people on a jobsite where we work because most of those people donā€™t believe in the virus.

We are very fortunate that we can work that way. Itā€™s a pain but itā€™s so peaceful working by ourselves not having to walk away from people or explain our choice to stay safe.

Well, maybe if car ā€œaccidentsā€ were contagiousā€¦

Besides: official COVID numbers worldwide are at least double that annually, and Iā€™ve seen estimates that those only count a third of the observed excess death in the same period.

Iā€™m sorry youā€™re having to deal with a COVID denialist on Facebook :grimacing:.

My personal Facebook page is pretty enjoyable and non political for the most part, lots of cats and daughter tormenting about her love of K Pop but every once in a while a post on our local page annoys me enough so I wade in.

I donā€™t doubt that heā€™s a faker. Itā€™s the usage of the term I wonder about. In my area itā€™s a rather loose epithet, generally directed at poor people.
