unarmed cops in mankinis, i’m for it. not only would the public be safer, so would the cops. what self respecting criminal is going to shoot an unarmed person in a mankini?
everyone in the background is dressed pretty warmly for the beach, my guess would be for warmth. sounds silly, but i grew up high in the mountains of colorado, and our football team all wore pantyhose for warmth when it was snowing during a game, they really do make a big difference.

To be fair there’s only so much discussion that can be had over the officer in question.
She’s an admirable authority figure, and her actions provide a jarring comparison to how the US’s LEOs routinely act.
Many of us would like to see whatever training program she completed be implemented here.
And all the requisite jokes and snark have been made.
So what else is left to discuss, that’s actually germane to the topic at hand, yet not redundant?
That question has been answered many times over.
