Sometimes when I am working I find music distracting but silence is so… silent.
I’ve been playing these videos for dogs to watch, on my TV. Each is 8 hours and filled with nice ambient sounds of the outdoors. Also nice to glance at when stuck on a problem.

I graduated from shorts and hip boots to full chest waders about 25 years ago. 
The Elwha is an awesome river, but I’m more likely to be counting redds on the Deschutes, which has been facing it’s own challenges:
