That’s quite a reversal from the standard covid hairdresser story of styling the soon-to-be-dead, before dying.
That folks, is a true giver. My Dear Wife’s family practice this, it is they say their collective calling.
I try to catch up, I endeavor to do as they do, but oft fail.
“Just take a little off the side… mmm now a little off the other side to even it. Hrm, well a little more off the other side and now itss… shit. Well, hey, it’s a bit too high and uneven, but it will grow baaa-- oh, er, uh… do we have any wigs?”
When Mr. Riley was asked about the picture, he replied “It feels good to do something for these people, a lot of them were just regular working stiffs.”

It’s surprising to learn how differently various countries are handling this. In the US, traditional funerals and practices are still not an option for most. Cremation with remote memorials are common, and gatherings still discouraged (depending on the state in which people live).
