Took the bait…
Can confirm.
I guess it was intended to be critic-proof: “it’s for the firefighters! Why do you hate firefighters so much!?”
ETA:
The piano part doesn’t seem overly complicated (saying this as an amateur* pianist). (& for all I know it’s on a loop.) But given the editing, I can’t tell that Lara Trump is actually playing the piano part here. It shows the hands (but not the face) of someone dressed like Lara Trump playing piano, then shows the face (but not the hands) of Lara Trump, but not a full view of her actually playing.
*in all 3 senses of that word
Now, on to less important things…
How can you use THAT much AutoTune and still not be… in tune?
From the Independent comment section:
Such penetrating and deep lyrics - wow! As a Professor of English and Semantics, I will be offering a course next semester on the allegorical nuances of: “You’re going through the fire, and the flames getting higher. You’re my hero. You’re my hero", or the sublimely ironical metaphorical constructions in ““You’re climbing up the ladder and the screams getting louder. You’re my hero. You’re my hero”. An then there is: You wear a little apron and serve chilinto the brothers. You’re my hero, You’re my hero".
On the one hand, I don’t think people should have to be exceptionally talented to put themselves out there in the world with creative endeavors. There is plenty of space for amateur painters and playwrights and dancers and singers, so no one should feel like they have to be the next Taylor Swift to record a song.
On the other hand this is Lara Trump, a willing and active member of a fascist crime family. So screw her and her kitschy autotuned vanity project.
fascist art, like fascist “humor,” is pure garbage.
Even so, the world might have been much better off if a certain Austrian fellow had really dedicated himself to his mediocre painting career instead of exploring other endeavors.
If this were earnest “outsider art” it would be one thing (i.e., still bad, but maybe not worthy of outright scorn); but instead it’s crass pandering and abuse of connections, so absolutely deserving of every criticism it’s getting.
an oxymoron?
For the team.
I don’t know anything about music, but I know this song hurts my ears. Like for real.
Plus I keep thinking, “This the head of the Republican Party. Of America! wt…” The only thing for it now is for her and Jaime Harrison to go on AGT for a sing-off and let Howie decide.
Other than nazis. But who cares about them.
I’m not among them.
I would never assume that you were.
NOOOOOOOO!!!
You monster, why would you do that to people? Oh, the humanity!!
That might legitimately be the most atrocious caterwauling I have ever heard, and I have heard 2-year-olds scream their heads off. Cats in heat have more tonality.
My little dog howls his heart out whenever my mobile rings, which can be sensationally painful if I’m driving and stuck in the same cab-space with no place to stop.
But still, everything being relative, compared to this he’s Top-Ten material.
I could listen to him all day long.
And sometimes have to.
