Cryptoland threatens critic after "crypto island" plan draws fyre

Describing NFTs as simply “Releasing artwork of his D&D characters with original music for each” is either extremely disingenuous or incredibly naive. NFTs and cryptocurrencies are both built on the exact same underlying technology. They’re both extremely destructive and neither of them has any useful real-world application which isn’t done either as well as or better by previously existing technology. And they both attract only grifters and those desperate for a fast buck (the latter being likely to get fleeced very soon when the scheme collapses).

You couldn’t get a better example of 'two side of the same coin.

Yeah I was gonna go with “tagged” or “marked” but I wasn’t sure how clear that is.

“linked” is probably technically the correct term. I suppose that also makes it sound like there is some sort of direct tie between the file and the ledger.

It’s pretty much just “it is also written down that this might be on the block chain. Somehow”.
