My kids have recently discovered Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse on NetFlix. It’s refreshing, in that they actually poke fun at the fact that Barbie has so many jobs (along with several other Barbie tropes).

A while back my buddy’s dog killed a good-sized rabbit, so we planned to eat it. During the preparation of the carcass his then-3 year-old watched the entire process, from taking the skin to getting rid of the entrails, without any problems. As you say, that’s some cultural stuff we could do without.
