The fact that the police are putting that smear story out is in itself clear evidence that they have no intention of allowing justice to occur in this case.

It’s going to be a “tragic mistake” by a “hardworking officer” that “couldn’t possibly have been prevented.” They’ve been aiming for that narrative from the beginning.
