I do know the department in my city requires all officers working in the street to wear a vest.
That said, Iām not sure how much it would have helped here. Bright flashing lights from the police vehicle and they still slammed it. There needs to be harsher penalties for distracted driving. Someone above mentioned DUI level punishments, and I think that would deter a few anyway.
