this was a cool video. I heard that Howard Stern acoustic version when it first aired back in the 90s and it is still my favourite rendition of the song.

Huh? From his story, the only other person that helped him was his friend who owned a studio and let him record a demo there. Unless the ex-girlfriend who inspired the song was famous?
