While I think it’s very cool, it’s not a new idea. There was one of these “bugs on spider legs” sculptures at a junk yard in North Texas forty years ago. My family used to drive past it on the way to my grandparent’s house – That’s how I knew we were over halfway there.

Yeah, and it’s a heck of a lot more expensive to do this kind of art project these days. The price for classic beetles, even those in poor condition, has really skyrocketed lately:
