They’ll be the first against the wall course on the menu when the revolution comes.
When I heard that after hearing about the Dems singing at the republicans, I was fucking laugh-crying in the car. We’re so fucked.
I’ve said it before, & I’ll say it again;
I have a list.
It just boggles my mind that Republicans have been vowing to dismantle Medicare and Social Security for decades, and old people still voted for them as a bloc.
Scumbag republicans are baby killers.
Probably has more bodies to deliver.
Oh, I’m sure you can easily guess a few of the names.
(At some point I really should sit down and watch that series, I guess.)
Spoiler: the list isn’t as long as it was a couple of seasons ago. Girl power!
Unfortunately, my list seems to get longer by the day.
You’re making a brave assumption that anyone will be allowed to vote by then.
I’m on Medicaid. It’s great. I thank people for paying their taxes or whatever it is they do that helps keep my medical care going.
Yet again, I’m posting my wishful .gif:

My theory: People vote for candidates, hoping they’ll do what they say they will while campaigning, but expecting them not to keep any promises, because of their prior experience with elected officials not doing what they say they’re going to do.
Thinking in terms of disease prevention and nutrition… Let us also not forget the value of compost.
It’s not short memory at all. Is the president saying that premiums will be higher and coverage lower? No – it’s the fake news saying that. And liberals, who are just demons disguised as perverts.
So are you going to believe the lying mainstream media and the evil liberals? Or are you going to believe the good president, who can’t catch a break no matter how hard he tries, especially when he is clearly telling you the truth and getting punished for it?
So that’s how that works.
The American people are clear they want this done
17% approval in the last poll.
The only polls that matter are those within the GOP base.
California can be 99% opposed, but it doesn’t matter; so long as the GOP controls the electoral process in the red states, they’ll retain power.
Slice of life, FWIW.
Mr. Jilly: People with depression or bipolar disorder could see their costs go up by $8,000/year. (I am bipolar.)
[five minutes later]
Mr. Jilly: And if we got cancer, it would cost X amount. (My mom had breast cancer and then died of pancreatic cancer and some studies suggest this combo is highly genetic.)
[five minutes later]
Mr. Jilly: Come watch this. This lady from NY with brain cancer begged her Congressman not to vote for the bill and he personally promised her he wouldn’t. He did.
Me: [takes off glasses, rubs eyes] If you want me to ever sleep again, you will let me process this in my own way without your own AP wire update.
