We’re only 12 years away from the future year that the original was set in. This feels like making another Back to the Future sequel long after it was apparent that the real 2015 would look nothing like the world portrayed in the movie.

Note to Hollywood: please for the love of everything that is good and holy don’t make another Back to the Future sequel.
