See, there’s no context there, right? Foreground in moon shot always wins in my book.
If the stupid moon had risen from the west there’d have been some lovely mountains instead of that ugly tree.
The eclipse might have been a bit lacking, mind.
(didn’t I get better pictures when I lived on the East coast?)

[/quote]It is, isn’t it interesting that it takes events like this to make everyone go look at it for just a minute? Only 12 full moons a year, and usually only about 8 of those it’s warm enough outside to enjoy. This doesn’t happen all the time for being a constant.

But if it had risen from the west, wouldn’t a lot of other things be more problematic? Like all of physics being thrown for a loop and tidal tables needing to be rewritten?

Nice. I am afraid of what my point & shoot no tripod attempts may look like. But still it was pretty cool wasn’t it?
Now that I compare the two pictures, doesn’t my camera have a depressing amount of dead pixels?
(or is that some artifact of JPG generation, or some other technical camera thing I don’t understand?)
Doesn’t it look pretty good as it comes out of eclipse too?

Aw, isn’t that nice? But of course, doesn’t that just give me further pangs of nostalgia for better grocery stores than Kroger and Meijer? Srsly, why can’t we have great grocery stores in Michigan? Did you know the only good one we had sold out to crappy Kroger this summer?
