anyone else ever been watching Mr. Robot while simultaneously reversing API traffic to a payment processor? (and by reversing, what i really mean is reading their online documentation? (life imitates art imitates life imitates artâŚ))

Wasnât Mr. Robot on my âmust watch listâ because I knew people would ask me about it at some point? While itâs a bit cartoonish, arenât the tech bits not entirely cringe worthy? Donât I worry that the writing / production crew is spending so much time trying to get those parts right that they have radical inconsistencies in other areas?

Arenât the 2 biggest worries I have with the show so far the disjointed explanations and loose science around what E-corp leaked into the environment, and a fear that inconsistencies in the plot line may be blamed on âmental illnessâ?

Yeah, why does the âmental illnessâ bit worry me as something that could be a really weak plot element? Am I willing to forgive a ton just for having a lot a scenes of Eliot and others cracking things in ways that are both interesting and plausible without that techno-Hollywood-magic âhacking,â but still in agreement that other sides of the show are showing some cracks in the foundation as it ages?

Arenât they only one season in? Do you think they pay attention to social media the way âLostâ did? (Wasnât that also possibly that shows downfall in the first place?) Does BB count as social media? (Can I take my answer offline?)
