The second tweet was when someone asked Huh? about the identifying as black. People are also pointing out that he should stop digging his hole. Unlike Marge and Boebert he actually responds to negative tweets.

He claims it’s helping the cause for black equality, by being on “the black team,” while also (nonsensically) being on “the winning team,” because blacks are supposedly winning now.
As i see it, the logical absurdiry is part of the far-right trollery bit that wants to “own the libs,” sometimes by using such absurdities to point out what they see as liberal absurdities, in this case, “identity politics” – all while deploying their own actually absurd identity politics of claiming that white people are the real victims now (the “losing team”).

Also, I don’t think he’s right about Trump being a “master persuader”… I think Trump just said shit that racists, misogynists, and other hateful bigots wanted to hear, and when he got the nomination, the GOP climbed on board, because they are a far more authoritarian, top-down party than the DNC, and it was worth it when it seemed like Trump was a winner who could bring in new voters (which he did - many white supremacists who had not been voting lined up behind him). The ONLY reason the vast majority of the GOP are now leaving their support of him (in tiny numbers, it seems), is because he’s now a “loser”… they don’t give a shit that he’s activated and emboldened some of the worst aspects of American politics and put it front and center. ALL they care about is winning, and if that means leaning into racism, and a few dead trans kids, then so be it.

To second this, it’s worth noting that Trump’s winning strategy was repeating things the crowd liked. They cheered when he said “lock her up!”, they cheered when he made up that Mexico was going to pay for the wall, so that became his platform. That’s the opposite of persuading anyone of anything, it is acting as an empty vessel for them to fill with their worst impulses.

Yep… I think the whole concept of mass “hypnotism” or mass “persuading” is a bit sus, honestly. It’s smacks of a bit too much woo. It’s not that people can’t be persuaded by mass culture/media and people in it, but I think that people need to be along those lines of thinking already. The Q stuff was not taking in random people, but lots of people who were already into various conspiracy theories, or other kinds of misunderstanding of how the world works. People who are looking for meaning can often fall into these groups, because they were seeking out easy answers to complex problems.

Scott Adams has always been very into woo…heck, one of his books defended the idea that you could alter physical reality simply by writing how you want it to be. He’s also been very plainly misogynist and a MAGA supporter and so on, to the point where him being openly racist is not a surprise.
I know he drew some pictures that a lot of us thought were funny back when we missed just how much spite went into them, but he’s been showing us who he is for a while now.

I haven’t seen anyone yowling in pain. Most people are just glad his shitty comic is over and hoping there’s no further reason to hear about the man soon as nothing he’s said has been important but we live in a world that amplifies the voices of assholes.
Speaking of that…The word you are looking for is asshole. Scott Adams is an asshole who worships other assholes. Trump is an asshole who treats people like shit which makes him king to other assholes. If you are always negative and always worship assholes one day you too will be right about an asshole gaining power. In the world of lobster-cucked assholes this is the best kind of person to be. There’s no secret code to be cracked. You act like the biggest asshole you can to everybody and see if you can get away with it until infinity or that point at which you finally can’t. Eventually… for some asshole it works.
if you want to say something challenging to get negative attention make it actually true: Dilbert was a comic for assholes and if you enjoy that kind of thing you’ve been a low tier asshole at some point in your life. Congrats.

It’s getting a little tedious so many people bending over backwards to try and figure out how so many people could have been “fooled” by Trump or by Adams… reality is that assholes of a feather like to flock together! Same for both of their supporters/followers. They are just assholes being publicly empowered by more powerful assholes.

Age makes some people more “conservative”. Not right wing conservative, but less risk-taking. It has the opposite in some folks, and their closet proclivities fly.

Sure, a lot of people have mean streaks. Hell I have one for punching up that’s viciously sadistic. I actually want to see CEOs dragged down the street with ropes, bleeding and screaming, to be tried for their various crimes. I’d find that downright hilarious. Punching down, however? That’s a different thing entirely. Way back when, if you weren’t a constant reader, it looked like Dilbert was all about poking fun at the “pointy haired idiot” bosses of the world and therefore punching up. If you kept reading, it didn’t take very long to see that Dilbert is William Foster from Falling Down, he just hasn’t been laid off yet.
Neither you nor anyone else slipping on a banana is funny, unless your either a cartoon character or a billionaire, in which case just look at it.
