She’s often funny. She is also increasingly without boundaries, a trajectory she has seemed to be on since she first got a TV show. Did nobody else see this coming when she first sat in Archie Bunkers easy chair, that it wasn’t as clear a line as it was for Carol O’Connor?

She seemed more like Archie’s far less likable British inspiration, Alf Garnett, except even he was more lovable than Roseanne (both the actress and character) is now.

Plug pulled. At this point even ABC couldn’t pretend they didn’t know she’s a terrible racist. This is hardly the first time she’s compared black people to apes or monkeys - it’s practically her go to first choice.
