Every time a comedian complains that they aren’t allowed to be “funny” anymore I think back to the bit from The Simpsons where Krusty horrifies an audience with his outdated and racist routines.

Also the comments she got fired by the network for weren’t even “jokes” in any meaningful sense of the word. She was just saying racist shit that wasn’t even intended to make racist people laugh and then using “but I’m a comedian we’re supposed to be edgy!!” as an excuse.

I find it interesting that not one of those other comedians is mentioned by name. I would suspect it’s because every one of them is even less talented, interesting, and relevant than Barr is.
