Kookaburras are kingfishers, and kingfishers obviously eat kings. No, fish. Fish.
Anyway, they’re primarily carnivorous, and are obviously more attracted to bacon than pasta.

I don’t know for sure, but maybe his fingers looked too much like the penne pasta piece, and it got confused.
Spaghetti or another “worm-like” shape would probably be more enticing.
