I assume they suspended the officer with pay for 2 weeks, and made him attend remedial training in how to distinguish ghosts from bricklayers.


I’m still wondering why you’d even bother to shoot a ghost.


If he’d thought the bricklayer was a bear, for example, would that have been murder? (Not a lawyer, but I’d guess no, as it would appear to lack “malice aforethought”.)
