Just listening to Trump makes me feel dumber, like his stupidity is contagious. There’s some discussion to be had about the military munition stockpiles and how much is kept on hand, the lifespan of ammunition, the normal burn rate in peacetime, how much is given away in military aid, and what the optimum numbers for all that are - but Trump obviously has no understanding of any of it. He doesn’t understand that these are even issues - all he understood was, “there are warehouses for bullets (they should be full).” And he’s like this for every fucking thing. (Actually, to be fair, there’s probably one or two small issues where he has a rudimentary understanding of them.) How the fuck is anyone pretending that he’s anything but a gibbering idiot?
He’s not learned how literally anything* works, so I don’t know why a tie should be special.
*Except certain types of fraud, maybe, and it’s pretty clear that even there, he relies on other people to understand that for him.
TFG would make a great asset for unwittingly disseminating misinformation to hostile governments if he wasn’t such a threat to the country due to his political ambitions.
When I was in the service I was stationed in our battalion’s G-4 office running the “land and ammunition” desk. A platoon or battery would need to go qualify soldiers on their rifles or machine guns or whatnot, make a request for a specific firing range and amount of ammo, and I’d book it. The end of the fiscal year would see a huge rush of requests because everyone wanted their allocations to remain high, so they’d go out and literally just burn up tons of ammo so they didn’t get reduced on next year’s budget.
Look, what would the biggest genius who ever walked the earth have to benefit from learning stuff? Said genius will always come up with a better solution, due to his geniosity.
I mean, how would he even know? He’s a private citizen, so I assume he’s lying. The US might be running low on spare ammo to send overseas. Or is up-to-date combat readiness data being leaked to a private citizen who is currently facing charges for mishandling classified documents, and who has deep ties to several hostile foreign powers. WHICH IS IT, DONALD?!
There is no contradiction there. Trumplestiltskin merely pointed out that it would be stupid for someone with US interests in mind to state publicly that the country is defenseless.
