Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders win New Hampshire primaries

Depends what you mean by “successful”. Successful in making a point and making Clinton lose, for sure. Successful in actually getting Sanders the presidency, seems extremely unlikely (unless Trump is running as an independent, but even then).

Yeah, right… folks would be too scared to split the vote against the crazy GOP.

I guess I was fantasising about a blatant act of establishment fuckery at the largest scale actually managing to trigger an appropriate response.

If Clinton gets the Dem nomination, I expect to see an awful lot of votes for the Greens in safe states. Depending on who gets the Rep nomination, at least. And right now I have no idea who that will be. You know the Republican Party really, really doesn’t want Trump or Cruz, but Kasich will run out of money, Rubio is pretty awful, and Bush…I don’t know what Bush is doing in the race.

Might end up with brokered conventions, and larger than previous votes for the Greens and the Libertarians, possibly a Bloomberg run?

It’s pretty entertaining stuff…

On the Democratic side, they’re deciding the question of whether the entire fucking biosphere stands a chance against business as usual, in a drawn-out nailbiter like some kind of HBO series.

And the GOP clown car is a hilariously awful slow-motion train wreck. I’m all out of popcorn.

…What now?

When nobody controls >50% of the delegates and the horse trading starts to work out who can get enough support. Hasn’t happened in ages.

There’s a lot of unfortunate momentum in that family. I wonder what the next generation will inflict upon us.

Can we not just give them a reality show? Take them out of politics altogether. Palin can be in it as well. Sorta like Honey Boo Boo but with guns.
